Making the card
Using the Crafters Companion Oriental set 1 CD, print the 'oriental symbols ' background paper in blue.
Cut a 15cm x 15cm piece of oriental paper. Adhere to the base card using double-sided tape.
Cut a 15cm x 7.5cm piece of deep pink card. Adhere horizontally to the middle of the covered base card.
Emboss a 15cm x 6.5cm piece of white card using daises texture plate & the Bigshot. Adhere the embossed white card to the middle of the pink card.
Again using the daises texture plate, emboss a 15cm x 5cm piece of blue card.
Lightly sand the blue embossed card with a nail file to reveal the white core.
Adhere the embossed blue card down the left side of the card, leaving approximately 5mm gap from the left.
Using either sticky pads or silicone glue build up Kimono lady decoupage (paper nations decoupage is great for beginners as the pieces are numbered & easy to follow. There are 4 layers to this design, cut out complete lady (layer 1). Cut out layer 2 and glue it over the top of layer 1 using either sticky pads or silicon glue. Repeat this process for layers 3 and 4. If you've used silicone glue leave it to dry.)
Adhere Kimono Lady to blue embossed card.
Using Wingo Zingo Alphabet Decorative strip die (For use in a Sidekick requires 13' cutting pads; use in a Bigshot/Bigkick requires Extended spacer platform & 13' cutting pads) cut 'Happy Birthday' from blue card.
Using Sakura Quickie glue pen & tweezers adhere Happy Birthday to the centre of the white card.
Cut out the fans from the Paper Nations Kimono Lady sheet & adhere (using either sticky pads or silicone glue) to the top right corner of the card.
